The Friends of the League Campaign will help to continue our mission to promote voluntarism, develop the potential of women, and improve communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
Current JLSLC community projects include the Junior League CARE Fair, the Women Helping Women clothing boutique, and Kids in the Kitchen. CARE Fair 2014 served more than 3,600 people in the Salt Lake community. Over 70% did not have medical/dental insurance and 80% of the families served had an income of under $30,000 per year. Women Helping Women clothing boutique has served approximately 600 women since June 1st and have distributed 4,609 items to those who are trying to re-enter the work force. Kids in the Kitchen is partnering with the YWCA shelter to provide nutritional education to moms and kids that are staying at the shelter while finding affordable housing.
